East Hampshire has been in receipt of over £150,000 of Start-Up Loans. Since the launch of the Start-Up Loan scheme in 2012 30 new businesses have been successfully started, and a further 23 have been set up via the New Enterprise Allowance.

Damian Hinds has welcomed new figures showing 490 new apprenticeships were started by people in East Hampshire between August 2014 and January 2015. In total 2,700 new apprenticeships have been started in East Hampshire since 2010. Across England over 2.2 million apprenticeships have been started since 2010.
