As a constituency MP, one of my favourite parts of the job is meeting with volunteers.   Individuals who give their time, for free, to help other people in the local area.

Earlier in the year in the Chancellor’s ‘Back to work’ budget, we heard about new measures to encourage those of working age back into employment to plug the workforce shortages in our key industries. 

Funding confirmed for Basingstoke Hospital

The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Steve Barclay, today confirmed funding of £800 million for Basingstoke Hospital.   This is great news for the local community and particularly for those in and around Alton who currently access services at Basingstoke.
