Public Meeting in Alton

Damian held a Public Meeting in Alton last night, with a good mix of both national and local issues raised during the hour. Damian thanked everyone for coming and for contributing to the discussion.






Meeting with the NFU

Damian had the opportunity to meet with members of the Alton & Petersfield Branch of the NFU last week, and discussed current issues and future plans for farming; a key sector for the local economy in East Hampshire.

Support for families in new tax year

Figures released by the ONS show that employment has hit a record high - 32.26 million - up by more than 3 million since 2010, and the rate of employment is now at 75.4%; the highest since comparable records began in 1971.

Opening of Cafe 1759 in Bordon

Damian was delighted to cut the ribbon at the official opening of Cafe 1759; a not-for-profit community cafe at the heart of the Radian development in Quebec Park in Bordon.
