First Friday Petersfield

Damian was delighted to talk with members of the First Friday Petersfield networking group last week. There was a very interesting mix of local businesses attending, and a good discussion on business and skills followed.

Wheels to Work scheme

Damian visited Lasham Gliding Club last week to meet Scott Redmond, who rents a moped through the Wheels to Work Hampshire scheme to get to his apprenticeship job at the Golden Glider cafe.

Public Meeting in Selborne

Damian attended a public meeting in Selborne on Friday evening, hosted by the local branch of the East Hampshire Conservative Assocation. Open to the general public, the audience of 70 engaged in a wide-ranging discussion on both local and national issues.

Damian meets businesses in Basingstoke

Damian met members of the Basingstoke Business and Enterprise Forum today, for a discussion on matching skills to business needs, apprenticeships and developing talent for the future.

The lunch time event was hosted by ACG Architects.


Launch of new dementia support groups

Today Damian attended the launch of a new dementia support group, which is being run by Dementia Friendly Petersfield. The new group is one of several that is now available each month, helping to support local people living with dementia and their carers.

Public Meeting in Alton

Damian held a Public Meeting in Alton last night, with a good mix of both national and local issues raised during the hour. Damian thanked everyone for coming and for contributing to the discussion.
