A visit to In-Space Missions

Damian thanked staff at In-Space Missions for an informative and inspiring visit last week, saying:

Talking with farmers about conservation

Damian had an interesting meeting with local farmers last week, talking about farming, food production and the environment. He also heard more about the Selborne Environmental Partnership and conservation work for lapwing and the brown hairstreak butterfly.

Litter picking in Alton

Damian joined members of the Alton Society during their litter pick in the town centre and Flood Meadows; albeit in a new spaced out socially distanced way!

celebrating 150 years of state education

Damian was delighted to mark the 150th anniversary of state education with 12 former Secretaries of State stretching back over three decades. In his group, Ken Clarke, Ruth Kelly, Nicky Morgan and Damian discussed the the development of character and self.

Visit to local Woodland Trust site

Damian caught up with the Woodland Trust yesterday at Binswood, near Kingsley, to talk about ancient woodland, the Environment Bill and their work with East Hampshire District Council - who are committed to an ambitious tree planting programme.
