Damian visits Petersfield Post Office

Damian visited Petersfield Post Office today and met with Post Office Ltd staff and ZCo, the franchise operator who took over the management of the site in November 2019.

Speedwatch launch in Petersfield

Damian was delighted to join volunteers for the launch of the Petersfield Speedwatch campaign, and was pleased to hear that to hear that so many people have signed up to  support the campaign.

In National Apprenticeship Week, Damian visited Alton-based company Testo in meet Will, an accounting apprentice who is supported by the apprenticeship scheme at East Hampshire District Council company.

Meeting with ICCAN on airspace design

Damian met with the Head of the Independent Commission on Aviation Noise (ICCAN) to discuss the work of the new body and how future plans for airspace modernisation and airport expansion may impact local communities.

Police funding boost for Hampshire

 

Police funding for Hampshire is set to rise by £26.1m as part of the Government’s proposed settlement for 2020/21, which will see an overall increase of £1.1b across the policing system – the biggest increase in funding to forces since 2010.

Damian joined the Royal British Legion Liphook branch for the launch of their 2019 Poppy Appeal at Sainsbury's on Saturday morning.

Google comes to Petersfield

Damian was delighted to welcome the Google Digital Garage bus to Petersfield today, offering free courses and one to one sessions with members of the public. This was a follow up to a session the Google team ran in Alton a year ago.
