Q&A with Year 5 at Bordon Junior School

Damian returned to Bordon Junior School today, meeting with the Year 5s to talk about Parliament  and his role as an MP, which also included a lively Q&A.

Visit to Rocksteady Music School

Damian thanked Scott Monks for inviting him to visit Rocksteady Music School at their Liphook HQ, and for the opportunity to hear about the work they do to introduce young peope to playing in rock bands.

Visit to South Central Ambulance Service

An interesting visit for Damian today at the South Central Ambulance Service operational centre in Winchester. The team are responsible for 999, 111 and other key transport services in the region, all of which are so important for a rural area such as East Hampshire.

 

Visit to Salvation Army

Damian was delighted to visit the Petersfield branch of the Salvation Army today for the launch of their Employment Plus, and was interested to hear more about how the Salvation Army has been helping people into work since opening their first Labour Exchange in 1890.

Visit to Ditcham Park School

Damian was delighted to join an assembly at Ditcham Park School today, and to meet the new Head Boy and Head Girl as well as other members of the leadership team from Year 10.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue

Damian met with Hampshire Chief Fire Officer, Neil Odin, at Bordon Fire Station this week to hear more about the Fire & Rescue Service’s work locally, and their innovative work with the wider public sector.

The Green Room School

Damian was invited today to meet staff and students at the Green Room School in Kingsley.

Golfers become Dementia Friends

Damian was delighted to help run a Dementia Friends information session at Liphook Golf Club tonight, with 47 members signing up to become Dementia Friends.

'Down the Pub' with Petersfield Community Radio

Damian was delighted to be interviewed today by Tim Concannon on behalf of Petersfield Community Radio,  for their 'Down the Pub' series. The interview was done at the White Horse in Priors Dean, which is also known as the Pub with No Name.
