Damian thanked Scott Monks for inviting him to visit Rocksteady Music School at their Liphook HQ, and for the opportunity to hear about the work they do to introduce young peope to playing in rock bands.
An interesting visit for Damian today at the South Central Ambulance Service operational centre in Winchester. The team are responsible for 999, 111 and other key transport services in the region, all of which are so important for a rural area such as East Hampshire.
Damian was delighted to visit the Petersfield branch of the Salvation Army today for the launch of their Employment Plus, and was interested to hear more about how the Salvation Army has been helping people into work since opening their first Labour Exchange in 1890.
Damian met with Hampshire Chief Fire Officer, Neil Odin, at Bordon Fire Station this week to hear more about the Fire & Rescue Service’s work locally, and their innovative work with the wider public sector.
Damian was delighted to be interviewed today by Tim Concannon on behalf of Petersfield Community Radio, for their 'Down the Pub' series. The interview was done at the White Horse in Priors Dean, which is also known as the Pub with No Name.
As part of on-going engagement with the East Hampshire NFU, Damian was delighted to meet representatives today, including a number of young farmers, for a very informative session to discuss the issues and opportunities in agriculture.
